Does anyone's DH travel for work?
I just found out that DH has to start travelling to Mexico for work, for about a week at a time. Since I'm not used to it, I'm having major anxiety. I'm so scared something is going to happen to him, something is going to happen to DS or DC#2, the house, etc. Anyone have any advice on how to deal? Normally I'd think of going to my moms to stay but my grandmother is in the hospital and she's already way overwhelmed.

not my DH, but me. I travel a TON (sometimes 15-20 weekends a year)...
I have done this for 4 years so we are used to it but it takes a toll. Just make sure that you dedicate time to speak daily and send emails. Distance makes the heart grow fonder
if you have any questions, you can always FM me

Re: Does anyone's DH travel for work?
my DH travels a lot toward end of summer into November. My DS was 5 weeks old the first time DH left us for 3 days, I was terrified!!! DS had reflux, very colicky always crying. I wanted to go to my mom's house but I figured it would be better for baby if we stay in ourhome. for some reason the days DH were gone went so smoothly!! DS didn't have any episodes we went for our walks and such as usual. you will get used to it, it's tiring tho because you ahve to do everything yourself. even to this day DS is fine when DH is travelling, I miss him of course but you do get used to it

Re: Does anyone's DH travel for work?
DH use to be away all the time he played minor league baseball when we graduated college. It was hard but you get use to it after a while. I think the time he spent travel for baseball in college prepared me for him being away. This past summer he was in GA from June to September. It was really hard to have him so far away. I only was able to see him once in July b/c I had to coordinate our move out of state. I know how it feels. Hang in there it will get better.
