Does anyone use the Angelcare monitor?
DS is 4 weeks and has been sleeping in his RNP next to our bed. I'm already nervous about transitioning him to his own room in his crib. As it is, I'm waking up constantly to check on him. I was looking into the Angelcare monitor. I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on it. My biggest concern is a false alarm; that the monitor doesn't detect movement, goes off and scares the hell out of me! Also, do you use the Angelcare monitor in addition to a video monitor? We have one that we got at our shower already.

Re: Does anyone use the Angelcare monitor?
Yes we have it and LOVE it! I still use it with my two year old who is in a bed so i know when she gets out of bed. I got it when she was 5 months old and it finally allowed me to relax enough at night to sleep. We have gotten false alarms but very rarely and only when she was much older and would go into the very far corner of the crib. I would sy in the 2 years we've used it we got less than 15 false alarms. Make sure you put a piece of plywood under the mattress so the monitor is on a flat hard surface. I also have a snuza for my 6 month old which is a wireless monitor that hooks onto to the baby's diaper. I like it too but now that my dd rolls to her belly at night I can't hear it as well. I've never had false alarms with this monitor.

Re: Does anyone use the Angelcare monitor?
We used the angelcare monitor when DD was in the bassinet and then when we moved her to the crib. It worked great and gave us some peace of mind. We stopped using it around 7-8 months when she was moving all over the crib and we had a few false alarms when she positioned herself at the very end of the crib (which she still does now at 18 months!).
I would use it again if I had another newborn. We never had a false alarm when she was little. The most annoying thing about it was that we would forget to turn it off when we took her out of the crib and then it would go off since there was nothing moving in the crib.
When she was in the bassinet we just used the audio, but when we moved her into her own room and the crib we used the video monitor as well as the angel care movement monitor.

We use it and I absolutely love it! I would not be able to get a decent night's sleep without it. I don't care if it gives me false alarms. I'll gladly get up and check on her. It gives me such peace of mind. I still use it now and she is almost 9 months old.

I liked the vsense monitor it comes with 2 pads so as the child get bigger you can place the second pad for more coverage. We actually used it till she was 4 and moved to a bed.

Re: Does anyone use the Angelcare monitor?
love it!!!! we only had one false alarm. the only other times it went off was when i forgot to turn it off when picking DS up. We got the angel care that comes with the video monitor, so no need for a separate monitor!!! we turned the movement sensor off when he started moving around in his crib and now just use the video monitor part. it gave me such piece of mind!
