Does anyone sell on Etsy?

Is it worth it? Are there any crazy rules I need to be aware of?
It seems like a great platform to advertise your product to a wider audience.

my mother does. fees are very minimal and you can list something for a long time.

not many rules, only that any new items you want to sell have to be handmade. Anything else has to be "vintage" with a date earlier than a certain year I think like 1980 or something.

I think it's tricky figuring out the shipping charges.

Fees are cheaper than eBay.
It really depends what you are selling. I know there is a lot of competition with FB and local pick ups.

I am and have been for years but my shop has died a slow death..i haven't kept up with it and there is soo much competition. Your keywords and search terms need to be ON POINT in order to get ranked on the first page of searches.

the fees to list are reasonable, but the do take a %age of what you sell too if paid through Etsy checkout.

there is a facebook group called Marmalead-ETSY SEO and Market Research..this is a great tool to search the efficiency of your key words and see how your listings rank.

I have found that its becoming the new ebay. Everyone tries to negotiate and nickel and dime.
