Does anyone here watch American Chopper?
DH loves it and I watch with him. Aside from all the boring motorcycle talk there is a lot of drama between Senior and Junior. I am totally on Juniors side. I think his father is so mean and is always making fun and berating him. He pizzes me off!!
Oh, also wanted to add that he didn't go to his sons wedding even though Junior sent him an invitation (admist all the fighting and lawsuits). His dad said that he should have called and asked him personally to go because an invitation is not personal enough. I thought it was big of Junior to send him an invite in the first place!

Yeah we watch it. It is so sad that this business/TV show has torn the family apart. And the worst thing is that Senior thinks he's right, has too much pride to realize he's lost his sons. Very very sad that this is being played out on national TV.

We watch it...but I get torn from side to side. It's all in the editing...I have no idea who is 'right'.

I'm willing to bet neither of them is an angel. But you can't deny that the business and show itself played a huge role in tearing them apart. And clearly, this is not just some made for TV dispute. But if you truly cared about your family, you'd both walk away from the show. No amount of $ should tear apart a family like that, and on TV no less.

I think that they are both so bull headed that they are beyond thinking about family. Such a shame.

Yep I completely agree! They don't even see that.

Like Rick said in last night's episode, they are so much alike, even though they each think the other one is so different from them.
I realize it's all in the editing, but I put a lot of the blame on Junior. I've been watching it from the start, and his father has been bugging him about the exact same thing for years, but Junior never bothers to actually be an employee. To me, he always seems to think he's above everyone else.
I could easily see the wedding taking a real bad turn if Sr. went to Jr's wedding. It might not have, but I think there was a huge risk if Sr. went.
p.s. I think Jason's bike designs are much more innovative and cutting edge than Jr's bikes. Jr had great designs 10 years ago, but hasn't really advanced on them. Jason really pushes the envelope on every design they do.
