Re: Does anyone have the new city select double?
First off, congratulations on #2!
I checked out the city select double at BBB. It is definitely cute but it looked bulky and heavy to me. It didn't seem convenient to take in and out of the car. It is definitely the best looking double stroller though!
I was trying to get DH's input but he couldn't care less. He said let's buy one after the second one is born.

Is this the one where you can add or remove a second seat???
I actually heard it was lighter than the regular doubles..oh well I need to go in person and check it out I guess

Re: Does anyone have the new city select double?
My friend has it and loves it. She has a 2 year old and a 4 month old and likes that it can be a single or a double.

I'm pretty sure you have to remove the second car seat to fold the stroller. The girl was demonstrating and DS started having a fit so I had to go. I remember just thinking it felt hard to take in and out of a car. I may still get it for neighborhood walks.
I thought the bassinet was cute. They all are sold separately so it will start adding up.

Re: Does anyone have the new city select double?
check out you tube... there are video demos of different strollers. baby gizmo is one cute lady and I like her reviews. Its a very nice looking stroller, but I didn't like that you have to take it apart to fold. check out the citi mini double or citi select double

Re: Does anyone have the new city select double?
It looked pretty nice, but I couldn't justify spending that amount of money on a double stroller. The BASE cost of it was about $500...and then you have to buy the 2nd seat and all the accessories!
I have to say that I am EXTREMELY happy with my Combi Twin Sport!

Re: Does anyone have the new city select double?
I bought it. I tried it in the store. LOVE IT. It is EXTREMELY popular so if you are inclined to go that way, order it in advance with all of the attachments you need because it does get backordered. Ours in in the store waiting for us.
The reason why we chose it over the Chicco Double travel system (we have the single now) is because I absolutely HATED the Chicco double and the City Select Double was the only system that had an attachment for the existing car seat we had. I put Abby in the front seat and she was VERY uncomfortable. The versatility of the City Select Double with attachments and positions sealed the deal.
I justified spending the money on it two ways. It is not the cost of the stroller itself, rather the DIFFERENCE between a cheaper model and the more expensive. ALSO, I am the one who will be using it the most and I'll be damned if I am going to push a stroller for the next 2-3 years that I loathe. DH simply does not want to hear me b*tch that long. The good thing is that Abby is tiny and will be able to use it longer.

Re: Does anyone have the new city select double?
Jen, I saw it yesterday in BBB and naturally, I played with it, even though I don't plan on having #2 for a long time. It was awesome.
This will be my stroller when I decide to have #2!

Leslie, what car seat do you have, that is a concern of mine, we have the peg perego which I can't stand but DH doesn't see the need to get a new one so if I do stay with that one I wasn't sure which if any that one fit? I'm dying to test it out...I may have to go get a few things for Chels at BBB one of these days As for the cost, we got the Bug with Chels and while I did love it for looong walks I feel like I stopped using it much faster than the other strollers my friends had just bc it was so cumbersome in so many ways...but a great stroller in general
