Does anyone have non-white ceilings?

I am considering this for my home office. Professionals on tv & in magazines seem to do it, but do real people?

most of our rooms don't have white ceilings. we have white crown moulding everywhere and I think it pops more with colored ceilings.

we did it in our townhouse. It had cathedral ceilings and it worked. I just went two shades lighter than the wall.

In the LR we did the same, but 3 walls were 2 shades darker and the 4th wall (stairs going up) and ceiling were the same color as the bedroom wall.

DH just re-did the office & painted the ceiling the same color as the walls... i love the way it looks!!

We have our bedroom ceiling painted with a lighter shade of the wall color.

I have white trim though, no crown molding at the moment (not sure if we are adding it) & slightly darker furniture. Well, right now I have only 1 piece I am keeping, but I am trying to match the new stuff to it.

So I now know I am not completely crazy, but I am afraid the yellow is too light & won't stand out from the white enough. It looks darker on the swatch.
