I am looking for something that is good at sweeping hardwood floors so that I don't have to do it every single night Chat Icon

I was thinking of getting the roomba, but OMG are they expensive! Are they good? Is there one that is better than another? Any feedback would be great, thanks!

I love ours. The only reason my living room rug and kitchen hard wood floors are semi clean is b/c we set it to go off at 11 every night lol. the basket is full every morning. We were having an issue b/c it would get stuck under our tv cabinet, it would try and fit but couldn't but enough that it would get stuck but we just block the opening now with something and its fine. the basket is small so if you have pets def look into the pet one. I have no complaints.

Re: Does anyone have a Roomba?

I just bought one from Amazon last week (it was a daily special). It works so well! I highly recommend it.

I'm interested in this as well. My husband brought up getting one the other day but didn't know of anyone who had one.

We bought the Neato XV Signature Pro. I bought it through Walmart, but they price matched to Amazon. Amazon sells it for $299.99.

So far I am impressed! It picks up a good amount of dust, stuff, and cat/dog hair every day. It has gotten stuck a few times and we have come home to find it beeping out for help, but for the most part we are very happy with the purchase.

We went with this one because it was rated best for value and for pets. I wasn't interested in spending over $300-400 to get one of the better Roombas.

ETA: We use it in our upstairs which is all hardwood and laminate.

i'm interested in getting one, but worried about spending all the money and find it in a million pieces one day because it fell down the stairs or something, lol. Does this happen? Or does it have a sensor of some sort to know not to go down the stairs?

We have ours in the upstairs in our house for a few weeks now. I was worried about that but it said it would be fine and so far it has been. The biggest problem has been it sucking up things my kids leave out in its way. It doesn't hurt the vacuum but you have to manually remove it from inside the brush. I would suggest running it a few times while you are home so you can figure out what its issues are in your home. That way you can leave it to clean while you are out instead of coming home and its stuck two minutes into its cleaning process.

We have one mainly because we have a dog that sheds endlessly and I was tired of seeing tumbleweeds of her fur between vacuum days. It doesn't make me not have to vacuum every 2 weeks but does help my house not look like a disaster In between.
