Does anyone else doctor do repeat bloodwork at age 2?
I was shocked when the doctor told me DS needs to have repeat bloodwork. They said they do it at age 2 again and then if everything is ok they don't need it again until they go to school. I really don't want to take DS for this. It broke my heart the last time.

Our PED did, tested hemoglobin and did a lead test. This was all done by fingerprick, my girls never cry for those tests, go figure!
Ask for the fingerprick test! Both my girls never had blood drawn, but i did it all at the doc's office.

If you mean the allergy and CBC w/lead, then yes, my Ped does it again at 2 yrs.

 ughhhh.. again at 2?? I just finally got the guts with getting her 1 year blood work done.. i was hoping for a longer break until the next time.

I'm actually not sure but, I think I would want them to b/c at one year my DS was just switching over from Formula to Milk - prior to one year he was EBF. Anyway, my point is - I would like to make sure his iron levels are good even without the iron he got from formula and bm kwim?
Honestly, I was TERRIFIED of getting DS's bloodwork but the woman at the quest we went to - we called ahead to make sure - was a pro at taking baby's blood - it was so quick - it took two secs and it was over. It wasn't bad at all!

For his 1 yr they did it right in the office and it took all of 5 seconds - so if they have to do it again at 2 that's ok with me.
He screams at the ped even when they aren't touching him - so there is no difference when they are!

I go for their well visit in a week, I probably wont because Christopher just had A LOT of blood taken a month ago was tested for a million things.
