Does anybody take Lexapro?
How long did it take to kick in? Also, how much do you take - a whole pill or a half?
Anxiety s ucks.

My dad takes it...I believe he takes a whole pill. Takes about a 1/2 hr to kick in...stuff works wonders (he gave me a 1/2 of pill to take the edge off the night before I moved OOS...I was totally panicing.

I take it, I take 10 mg/day but after the holidays I'm going to try (for the second time) to come off it and will start cutting them in half.
Lexapro takes about 7 days to fully kick in and start working.

i take it, 10mg also. I usually feel it after about a week. Doc said it takes about 3 weeks to fully kick in.

I used to take it and it took 2-3 weeks to kick in, I took it for about to years. When you stop you just have to do it very slowly or you feel like a$$.

me too...it's a maintenance drug so it takes a while to build up in your system. About 2-4 weeks until you see some difference but some actually say they felt different in a week.
