Doc McStuffins
So my 3yr ds loves this show. He saw the doc mcstuffin doll in a toy r us circular and wants the doll and the lami (the sheep). I have no issue getting it for him but know my husband would flip. Just curious what your thoughts are about boys getting dolls especially if you have a dh that finds issue with it. I will probably get it for him anyway.

Re: Doc McStuffins
I LOVE the show.
My son loves it too (just as much as Mickey mouse).
I say, get the accessories for your son (Dr bag, etc.) IF you are against getting him a doll (trust me, I've seen plenty of boys at the FIGHT with my DS over a PINK baby stroller). I would get DS a dr bag... but his little sister would probably get something stuck in her eye.
Interestingly, I was told by a mama that Doc was supposed to be a boy & they changed her into a girl.
I love the fact that the dad seems to be a stay at home dad!

mY DS loves the show too. I got him a dr kit. Not from the show. But a generic one from toys r us. As for the dolls, I would buy them anyways. My husband would be against it also, but I would still do it. I have done it with other things as well. ie: kitchen set, vacume. Who cares!! lol

I would get it. DS has an Olivia plush that I won him at a carnival. He pointed to it and I couldn't say no. DS also LOVES Minnie and screams "Minnie" whenever he sees something with her on it. Who cares, if it's "girly". Also I had my parents get him a kitchen for Christmas ExH wasn't thrilled but too bad! LOL

I highly doubt you would find the doll now, it's pretty much sold out everywhere. I would get him a dress up doctor set (they sell one at Toys R Us in the Imaginarium section), and a doctor bag.

I got my 18 month old DS the doll for Christmas. If it was a girl wanting a boy doll we wouldn't blink.

Re: Doc McStuffins
My DS is 2 and has a baby doll. He's had her since before he was 1 and while DH isn't thrilled with the idea, he accepts it. He does try to sway him from leaving it in the car when we go into a place, but most of the time DS wins and baby comes with us. He also loves and carries Sophie the Giraffe everywhere.
DS loves trains, trucks and cars but he also loves to pick up dolls and rock them, feed them and put them to sleep. It shows his sensitive side and I love it. I could care less if he has a doll or not.
I would get it for him...they know no difference at this age that dolls are for girls and trucks are for boys. Then again, I don't really like certain stereo types with children.

Re: Doc McStuffins
I would get a medical kit. Fisher prices makes a nice one - we have it and my kids love playing with it. I would also look into getting the dragon or the lamb toy if your DH is having problems with a doll, perhaps the other two toys he would have less objections to....

My 3 year old son loves the show and got him all doc stuff from kmart. Is an awesome learning show. I do hate thst the colors are more geared towards girls though. Same thng with Dora toys.
