i have chips joined together in a round hsape
after i bought those, i lost the desire for actual studs...
thought if i got them as a gift i would not mind! 
but these definitely did the trick

Getting that cut is pricey and looking around for some from a non-DeBeers mine is going to be a process. One day when we are rich.

OMG this is so funny that you posted this, I don't have any,b/c I never thought they are my style, but I can only wear small earrrings with my DD now. So my birthday is coming up end of month and I was thinking of asking my DH to get diamond stud earrings for me. I have no idea what size to ask for b/c I don't know much about Diamonds at all(never been fan of diamonds or jewlery in general) I want something that is not too tiny but I know I will not like something that is too big b/c I know I'll lose them

I've always wanted a pair and when we were on our cruise this past February, DH bought me a pair for my bday in April. They are 1/4 carat each, round cut. However with the way they are set, they actually look like a princess cut. I wear them everyday.
