do you trust the info on baby center?
I've been having serious (TMI warning) gas problems and the pains are crazy! I get it bad in the am. I googled what I could take and according to baby center it says gas-x is ok.
Is it ok to trust babycenter.com for meds?

I've found conflicting info on different sites about whats ok and whats not for various things...I would call the Dr and ask before taking anything...

ALWAYS CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR before taking anything. Thats my opinion & some advice. Just in case. Be safe then sorry.

The pharmacist told me not to take gas-x because it's a category 2 or b i can't remember drug. She said that it meant that there have not been any studies done on the effects so she would not take a chance. That was enough for me to say no and endure the pain. I found that too much dairy was causing me a lot of gas pain, when I cut back I felt a lot better.

I wound up taking gas-x in my 2nd trimester and it really didn't do anything at all for me.
Ask your doc what is best for you in the first trimester.

My Dr said Gas X is ok - but I would check with your own dr.

I will comment on the gas-x since I asked my Doctor. He said that is fine.
I was doing the tongue tabs and they didn't work. I switched to the tablets and they helped a little better.
I don't know about any of the other drugs.
