Do you "tip" your contractor?
We are really happy with our contractor, and he has gone out of his way to minimize the disruption to our house/lives, actually creating a little more work for himself in the process. I was thinking of getting him a gift card to a restaurant as a way of saying thanks. Is that weird?

Does he own his own company? If so I think the profit your giving him is probably tip enough. Your best tip would be to recommend him to all your friends and family so he can get more business. JMO
