Do you think this was strange
A guy just knocked on the front door (actually more like banged), I thought it was DH coming home from the store, I went to open the door and saw it was a young kid, high school-college aged. I had the door half opened and he told me he as trying to win a contest to go to Eurpoe and he had to see who could meet the most people.
He asked if other kids had come to the door or was he the first and then started asking a bunch of odd questions. I couldn't tell if he was with anyone else so I told him I was in the middle of something and didn't have time and shut and locked the dead bolt.
It just seems odd that this would be an actual contest????

I didn't even realize he didn't say, he had a cheap looking laminated card that said something about $1,000.

Sounds like BS to me too. If it was a contest, he would have had some sort of flyer explaining the contest with the name of his school and other info. I would also think he would be selling something in order to win the trip.

THat sounds like the magazine selling spiel- i have had a college-aged boy come knock on my door with the same intro- the laminated card has the magazines that are available...
