Do you think this is dressy enough?
I was going to wear everything in this outfit except with black dress pants to a holiday party at a restaurant down town. My DH said he has to wear slacks and a button down but no tie or jacket. I think it is appropriate but he has given me doubts.

Yea it will work, maybe a red necklace or some kind of color will make the outfit pop.

the necklace is lovely. I think it should be fine since your dh is wearing what you described.
maybe he wants to see you in something else? something colorful, maybe.

I think part of you may be right and the other is that he equates dressy with a dress or skirt.
Thanks everyone. I did just look up the place online now that I know where I am going and I think the outfit should be fine.
