I don't think I fall into a defining catergory. I despise stereotypes because most of the time there is so much more to a person than their outer appearance. I don't judge others and don't appreciate being judged or labeled.
Unfortunately for me it is something I deal with on a regular basis because of my tattoos and piercings. The funny thing is that I may have a full sleeve and several other pieces in addition to a nose and labret piercing. However, depending on my mood I dress punky, preppy, classic, or trendy. I shop at Banana Republic and JCrew. I love designer bags, shoes and sunglasses. I love to cook, spend time at home, as well as go out and one of my favorite pastimes is reading. I listen to Heavy metal and hard rock the most but I also listen to R&B, Country, Pop, House, even Classical and Jazz.
Yes, I shop at goth/punk/urban stores a lot but I also shop at high-end ones.I might look one way and I may have huge fake boobs and a "tramp stamp" but I am intelligent, educated and completely the opposite than what they think.
So technically, by looking at me you would think I am a harcore punk chick but I'm really so much more. I am me...classifications and stereotypes aside. I think of myself as multi-faceted.
So yes....I am ENTIRELY different than what many may define me as...truth is I am undefinable and if their shallow superficial judgement is what they base their opinions on then let their own ignorance hold them back. I could care less!
