Do you think she is ready?

So this summer we have been slowly leaving Bella out of her crate for a few hours at a time. Until today the longest she was alone for was about 4 hrs. Well today I went to work to set up my classroom and she was alone for over 6 hrs!!! So far she hasn't destroyed/gotten into anything. So do you think she is ready for a full day of us working? She will be alone from about 8-4:30.

Re: Do you think she is ready?

Maybe you can keep her confined to the kitchen - for the first few days.

See how she is w/ that and then start opening up other rooms.

Re: Do you think she is ready?

Right now we are in an apt. so she just has acess to the kitchen living/dining room combo, its not a big place, and all the doors to the other rooms are closed.

I think she would be fine.
As long as you are careful that nothing is left out that she can destroy.
Maybe pull the couch coushins up?

I think so...we did the same with Morgan...started for a few hours then eventually got to longer...she is great now.
Just put everything away and leave lots of toys for her to play with

Re: Do you think she is ready?

We did the same thing as you. We made sure she was good for about six hours for a few weeks before we moved right into the eight hour day.
We also close off the bedrooms and she only has access to the main part of the house.
And we put down weewee pads near the backdoor and in the bathroom (her mistake spots).
Good luck!!

This sounds like the best idea!
