Do you think Noah is a common name?
So this is my #1 pick for a boy and DH is saying that he thinks it is his too 
Now I do not know ANY Noah's but according to the popularity list it is #7 and #20 in NY 
Now since I am not around tons of one and two yr olds maybe I am out of touch...
Is Noah a cmmon name?

I think it's definitely more popular than it was in the past couple of years. I've been hearing it a lot lately.

In my own little world, I know 1 Noah.
I know the lists show the name is very popular but I have not heard it all that often.

Three women at work had boys, all named Noah.
Aside from those women, I don't know anyone who named their son Noah but my friends kids are older than mine by 4 years and popularity of names changes.

I have 4 friends in the past 2 years name their babies Noah. Same with Ryan. It's not that big a deal. If you like the name, use it!  You know that most friends will call him by his last name soon enough anyway so he'll still have a unique name!

I think it's known but not as popular as Jack, Liam & Owen.
I would def have had it on my list if it wasn't for my last name.

I agree.
My 9 year old nephews name is Noah and my sister was just telling me the other day how she never really heard that name much when he was born but it has gotten VERY common in the last few years.
I think that regardless of the popularity, if you love it, you should use it.

I dont know any Noah's but I do agree that it seems that it is part of the new generation of "common" names. I do love it though!

So much of this seems to be regional and the luck of the draw really. My cousin named her DD Emily which was #1 oe 2 the yr she was born and yet she knows no little girls named Emily! So I guess I shouldn't let it bother me.
