Do you think I will go early?
I know it's impossible to tell but just curious about other experiences! I am almost 35 weeks and for the past 2 weeks at the doctor's office, I have contractions that can be seen on the monitor of the non-stress test that I take 2 x a week. I also feel contractions at night. I know they're Braxton Hicks but just wondering if this all points to the baby coming sooner than later.
Today at my appt my doctor told me that i should have my bag packed and that she'll be away next week so the baby better "stay put" - lol got my hopes up that I might go soon bc I am just SOOO excited to meet my LO! She was going to check my cervix but decided it really wasn't necessary.
Any thoughts/experience?

I don't think you can really tell. I'm not BTDT but have heard stories of other women being dilated and contracting for weeks and weeks and still ended up going on time or even late.

You cannot tell- I have been having Braxton Hicks since 28 weeks and I am currently 36 weeks- you can see all contractions on the monitor. My doctor keeps telling me untill the contractions are five mintues a apart for an hour or more and last one minute they are nothing to worry about. I was told to pack a bag at my 34 week appointment--I think the doctor's just want you to be prepared.

There is absolutely no way to tell. I had Braxton hicks for weeks, my dr told me to get my bag ready at 36 weeks bc at this pint anything can happen, blah blah blah. I was induced after passing my due date.

I thought I was going to go early for the reasons you just stated but I ended up going 3 days late.

Re: Do you think I will go early?
When I was pg with DS, I had BH contractions alllllll the time from 20-something weeks. At 36 weeks they started checking my cervix and it was long and closed. At 37 weeks it was 1 cm dilated, at 38 weeks 1.5 cm and at 39 weeks 2 cm and 80% effaced. I went into labor and had SD at 39+2 so not very early at all.
Not to alarm you but I know some women who had their babies at 35 weeks and it was difficult for their LOs so definitely try to enjoy having LO stay put a bit longer - it is best for your baby. It is hard not to want them out and in your arms but baby will be here soon enough!
