nope.. I keep changing my choices b/c i havent found the right one yet.. I always think I have it.. then a few weeks later I dont.. I think its b/c I tell someone it and their reaction effects me.

honestly-- I would prefer to be the only one with my names, but I am not going to change the names we decided on ages ago if someone chose the same name. As much as this is a community, I don't know many people IRL.

This is true.
We had our names picked out soooo long ago since we've been trying so long. Lately, I have seen several people use either our girls name or boys name. And they aren't all that common either! It surprises me...
Oh well. I guess the odds of those people living in my town are slim.

Funny storie.. I was walking my dd a few months ago around the block.. and some woman wallking her dd comes up to me and says "Do you live there?" and I say "yes".. she goes "well Samantha Rose meet Samantha Rose".. She saw my stork when I had dd and had the same name chosen for her DD but wasnt born yet. She was considering changing her name b/c of it.. (which is silly to do), but loved it soo much kept it.. Our dds are about a month apart.

I'm afraid of that too, so dh and I decided that we aren't telling anyone our names until our little one arrives. That way if people don't like it they can just grin and bear it!

No... I am using a name that has a special family meaning. I do know there is another mommy here that has a DD with the same name, and there may be a couple of others.
But I've always wanted to honor these two relatives and use this specific name if I had a girl.

same with me. i want my  to have a unique name that's not popular, but if it happened that someone on here chose the same name, i wouldn't change it.
so far i haven't seen any of my choices on here yet...

Nope!! If this baby is a boy we're naming him Francesco (calling him Frankie), and I was so excited to see someone else just named their son Francesco! Doesn't bother me in the least

No we had our names picked out a while before we got pregnant...and I haven't seen too many w/ the same names although my middle name for  has become very popular and we've had that picked out for a long time now. It's annoying but I don't know anyone IRL w/ the same names.

Since I can remember I wanted to name my girl Gianna. I ended up not naming DD that name not because of LIF but because it became so popular and everyone I knew had a DD named Gianna. I wouldn't change the name because people from LIF used it,,especially if you dont know them IRL

we are set with DD's name. it got shot down by my MIL (but that's a whole other story). we are sticking with it, even thought it might not be popular or even well-liked.

i thought we were set until i opened my mouth to dave and we saw that our girl name of Emma is like number 6 in the state of NJ....and our boy name of Jacob is like number 7... we now have an alternate girls' name but i won't give up on the boys' name...we CANNOT agree on another boys name...so that's why i won't give up....
also - things will change as the year progresses...so we shall see...
