Do you think....
that at my 18w sono the Dr. will be ablet to tell me if I am having a or or do you think I will have to wait for my level II (which my doc never even mentioned to me yet).
I may have asked this before, so if I did I apologize for being annoying, I am just so anxious to find out
TIA

Re: Do you think....
I think they can definitely tell at 18 weeks what you are having Steph!
A lot of girls have their Level 2 done at 18 weeks so as long as baby is cooperative, you might find out!
I would think it also depends on how good the equipment is at your doctor's office, so keep that in mind (sometimes for the 'big sonos' they send you to radiology centers or hospitals, etc.)
Good Luck!!
Edited to add: Not to be a pain in the butt, but are you sure that this sono isn't your Level 2? I am just wondering why else they would do a sono on you now and then the Level 2 in a few weeks

Re: Do you think....
We found out at 18 weeks!!! Actually 17w6d! His Pee Pee was sticking straight out and up I think!
And the baby was soooo cooperative throughout the whole sono... the tech kept saying, Oh what a good baby! He was moving around a lot, but very cooperative! It was funny when she needed to measure the other arm, he put the one down she just measured and lifted the other one right up like he knew what she was doing... it was cute!

Actually, I've had a sono at every single appointment. So, I am just guessing that I will have one at my next apt, which is 18 weeks. I don't *think* it's a level II because he just has a regular sono machine...no fancy equipment. Maybe he won't do a sono and will send me for a Level II? I have no clue
Also, the reason why I have an apt. at 18w and not at 16 and 20 like most people is because I've had to go to him a few times because of bleeding and back pain so that kind of screwed up my regular appointments.

Was this at a regular sono, or was that your Level II?

Ahh ok, that makes more sense now ... it's more than likely then that your doc will offer to send you for the Level 2 at your next appointment then, but I still think you will be able to tell the sex if he does a sono in his office at 18 weeks!!
.. I know that some doctors do those sono's in their offices, but most times you are sent to another facility to have them done. I've had regular sono's done at my doctor's but for the ultrascreen and level 2 they wanted me to go to the hospital since the equip. was better according to them.
Either way, how exciting to see your baby again!!!!!

Re: Do you think....
I was 18 weeks 5 days when we found out we were having a boy. So yes they can find out at 18 weeks.
ETA: The 18 week 5 day sono I had was my Level II.
