exactly....if your Dr's on board its easier b/c when the script is needed, they ( the State) will handle calling and stuff cause they have the Dr's info already...but you can request an eval without a Dr. knowing.

We did not need a script for Speech in Nassau. You will though for OT or PT. But that's only after the evaluations are done and you qualify for the above services.
You do not need the approval or script from a PED to call EI.

i am sorry your right.. it was OT and PT we needed the script for.. not speech.. i am in nassau as well...

We did not need a script to get DD evaluated, nor did we need one to start services (she qualified for PT)
We are in NJ

You can request it, but they will ask your doctor to fill out a form for the child.
