Do you move up diaper size if it leaks even though the diaper fits fine?

2yo DS has been size 5 pamper cruisers for a long long time. They still fit perfectly fine but he has been leaking almost every night.

Does this mean we should move up to size 6?

Or do I just need an overnight diaper?

do you have a lot of size 5s left? if you do and dont want to waste them try the overnight- we use those with my ds and they are amazing

is he leaking during the day at all?

Whenever DS starts leaking through at night, I start putting the bigger size diaper on him for night time until I run out of the current size... at which point I just move him to the bigger size for day and night. I've never bought overnight diapers and this has worked so far.

DS is in size 4 diapers. Last week he woke up 3 days in a row with wet pjs. We switched him to size 5 at night and will continue to use size 4 until we run out since he's fine in the day so far.

DS wears 5's during the day and 6's at night. he was wearing 5's day and night up until a few months ago when he started to leak...
