Do you know someone who is a complete and total snob?

Unfortunately I am forced to listen and be witness to my boss's snobbery.

He thinks he is so high-class and better than everyone else.

He does't serve hot dogs and burgers at his BBQs, he serves shrimp and steak.

And what's worse is he makes fun of people who eat at chain type places and talks rudely about people who don't do things the way he thinks they should.

Now, I have been known to be a bit snobbish about certain things, as I'm sure most of us are, but I would NEVER belittle or embarrass someone because of the things they do or what they like....

It is so hard to ignore sometimes.

Do I know someONE? I know a ton of snobs.

I think the worst is when my Aunt couldn't believe I pump my own gas. She just kept going on and on.

And I love hw he thinks his kids are these amazing little darlings.

"My kids eat from the adult menu"
"My kids would never eat chicken fingers"
"My kids only missed 2 days of school"

Please, your kids have no manners just like you!!!!

I know a few people! If someone goes to London or Milan and sends you a kodak gallery of 300 pictures....each of them with a detailed description of how beautiful it was, that's obnoxious. If they talk about their trip for weeks, that's a snob.

it makes me laugh when i hear some of the things that come out of their mouths. nothing is good enough for them.

And the people who gossip about others, yet have TONS of skeletons in their own closet!!!!!!!

I know way too many, but I dont associate with snobs too well (wait that's making me sound like a snob now )

Many of them (the ones that I can think of) are extremely insecure about something or other and have to show off to get some type of attention.

yes, all of my aunts on my dad's side. they were raised with money and look down on "the little people" as they call them. weird though how none of the boys in his family are like this. they are all very grounded and down to earth.

I have a friend who is sometimes a snob about thinking that she is not a snob. She thinks she is above the things that people do to impress each other. It bothers her that other people dye their hair, wear expensive jewelry, hang out at trendy places, etc. She pretends she is not interested but the truth is that she is angry about it for some reason.

I'm not talking about someone from here, though.

Yup, I know of a couple. I prefer not to associate with people like that, and choose to ignore them as long as they're not constantly in my face.

And you're right, so many of them think they're justified. People like that are the ones who wind up with friends just as shallow as they are, with no people of substance they can count on.

They are their own worst enemies and their own punishment. These thoughts are what allow me to effectively ignore them and go on with my own life.
