Do you HAVE to mix cereal with BM or formula?

Do you HAVE to mix cereal with BM or formula?
I have noticed that my little guy eats a lot more when his cereal is mixed with water rather than breastmilk. Do you think this is a big deal? he prefers breastmilk only when he is drinking it.

It's been a long time for me but we mixed his with water or formula and I know that my friend does the same thing with her little girl.

i used to mix my kids with water sometimes or even fruit juice...they loved that...I dont think its a big deal, especially if they are taking bottles

My pediatrician suggested I use water since I hate pumping. So, sounds ok to me!

Believe it or not its because the fluid used to create it makes a different consistency.. At least thats what my ped had told me.
Alex was a picky eater, and would only eat it if I had mixed it with water... VERY rarely would he eat it with formula, juice or anything else.
99% of the tiime it was mixed with water, and I alternated one spoon cereal and one spoon fruit.. back and forth.. is your lil man eating jarred foods yet? He got so big!! Your family is gorgeous! :o)
