DH keeps saying we should get one for the kids/ is it worth it? how much do they run?

Yes, DH insisted that we NEEDED an SLR camera and video before Ryan was born. Honestly, I don't think we NEED the SLR (my regular digital works just fine for me), but I'm glad we have the video camera.

So far we just have a few minutes here and there - bringing Ryan home, first bath, tummy time, etc. We try to catch things here and there but we certainly don't have it running 24/7.

We have an older one & honestly I have to remind myself to keep bringing it out. We have her christening on video & her first Christmas & then bits/pieces here/there. YET I think it'll be great to look back on down the road. These days they don't run too much; yet I'd definitely go for the digital one, that converts right to a DVD.

My boyfriend just got me one for Mothers Day. I think it is so worth it...I wish I had it sooner. I don't use it everyday but it's cute to catch cute little things here and there. I think mine was on sale for $599...it has a hard drive so I don't have to worry about tapes or dvds. I LOVE IT!!

We just got one for xmas. We don't use that much, even though we would love too. Once it comes out my oldest goes right after it and wants to do it herself, the times we've used it only my youngest is been on it and all you here is G stop, g don't touch, g let it go. It's sad, i love video, but i take much much more still pictures.

OMG I use it ALL THE TIME, driving DD and DH crazy, lol. couldn't be without it.

i never remember and when i do, ella runs away and will stop whatever cute thing she is doing.

I never use our video camera.. I don't even know where it is

I just use the little video feature/setting on my crappy point and shoot camera and I capture little movies like that when he does something amusing / cute

we went out on Black friday at like 4am (yes I was pregant too) cause DH had to have one.

We had it in the delivery room (for after the actual birth) and when we left the hospital....AND yet nothing is on the DVD I begged DH to try it out prior and make sure he knew how to use it, and he "said" he did.

We so far have only shot DD 1st bath. Hopefully it's on the DVD, cause we have not checked

We have one. DD is 19 months old and we probably have about 20 short videos of her. It's been nice to have and capture all of her milestones along the way. We have videos of her first feeding, when she just started sitting up, early crawling, early walking, early talking, etc. It was well worth the $500 to me.

Not to get all sad but after my son died I REALLY wished I had a video of him to watch. So before my DD was born I got one. I have videos from birth on. I try to catch firsts like rolling over, crawling, ect...(even though I normally only catch the 2nd or 3rd times). I LOVE looking back at videos of Kaitee and she is only 21 months. I can't wait to get to look back when she is 16 or 18! I don't use it often but I try to use it once every few months!


My cell phone has a video camera on it and I find that I use that alot because its easy access and I always have it.

I spent around $300-$350 on it so to me it was worth that!

Yes - I keep it out and tape about once a week, sometimes more. I did it their first year and kick myself for not doing it more often. I have a lot more filmed of their second year. I also use my digital camera to record cute or funny things each month - those we look back on and laugh or .

My boyfriend bought one for me for Christmas and I was sooooo excited! I can honestly say its still sitting in the box. I really need to get that thing out and start recording.

YES !

We break it out for special occassions, holidays and when we see the DS doing something new (ex. rolling over, sitting up)

I got one for my wedding shower from my Sis and SO glad I did. I try to capture a few video moments each month and even though we have yet to watch them, I know we will break them out someday when she is bigger.

We have one and we use it all the time....we have DVD's labeled by month since DD was born.

we don't have one. I didn't see the need since I don't see us using it regularly. We take short movie clips with our digital camera - thats enough.

I have a video camera and I use it all the time. It is totally worth getting one. I am not sure how much mine cost because my parents bought it f or me as a Christmas gift.

I have tons of video snipits that I put on dvds...I want the flip camera
