I know the peds. say not to...just wondering if anyone does it?

never, not only bad for teeth but they leak or get lost underneath something and when you do find it.. YUCK..try not to start that habit... my sister does and its bad...her DD will not even lay down till she has her bottle...(over 2 yrs old to boot)

I'm not at that stage yet but I won't. My girlfriend's DD has had to have major dental work because of the damage to her teeth because of it and she's only 4. That's a risk I'm not willing to take.

we never did. It is not supposed to be good for their teeth and that would have been just another habit we would have eventually had to break.

we don't use bottles, but that is one reason why I don't nurse Josh to sleep anymore...I did not want anything to go wrong with his teeth

I have given Jeremy a sippy of water in his crib during naps when I know he is not sleeping, only having quiet time. Never milk though!

No.
A couple of months ago, I did let DD take a sippy cup of water with her to bed when she woke up in the middle of the night, but that was an off night for her and I definitely didn't want that to become a habit, despite it only being filled with water.

She's not old enough yet but I never will. My friends kids still need a bottle to go to sleep and they will be 3 this summer 
IMO they shouldn't even have a bottle anymore but besides that they always leaked all over and if one got "lost" it was NASTY when it was found.
The fact that its unhealthy is enough for me.
