Do you discipline your child the same when they are sick/not feeling well...

..or do you cut them some slack? I see both sides of it and I am wondering what everyone else does.

It depends on the infraction if it was whiny, uncooperative behavior, refusal to eat or something like that I'd cut some slack. If it was hitting or something dangerous I'd use the same 1-2-3, then time out system we use regularly.

I cut her some slack...I know I feel like doing nothing when I am not feeling well....so I let her watch TV all day, etc.

Generally no. If he's doing something that could be unsafe, he is removed from the situation quickly, but I don't give him time outs or expect the best behavior from him. Same if he's ridiculously overtired--I just get him to bed ASAP.
