do you brush their first 2 teeth?
I haven't brushed Talia's teeth yet but someone told me they make baby toothpaste and toothbrushes? I'm surprised my dr. never mentioned this since she got her first 2 teeth about 2 months ago..

i have the thingy that you put on your finger to just rub on the teeth...but we haven't used it yet...
our doc said you only really need to wrap gauze around your finger, wet it and rub the 'sugar' off of the teeth.

Hey girl!
Yes, I brush his teeth every night. I actually asked my Ped about it b/c I read on here pple are doing it.
Since Mason gets his last bottle around 7ish and goes to sleep at 7:30PM she said to brush his teeth b4 I put him in the crib to get any sugar or anything off their gums or teeth. Mason actually loves it. After a bottle I brush his teeth, book and then bedtime.
ETA... we use the toothpaste and the "finger condom" as DH puts it. I think you can also use a washcloth or something

any drugstore should carry the baby toothpaste. They don't have any fluoride and made for babies. If you don't pick it up today a washcloth is fine too.

Yes. I used the finger brush when DD#1 had just a few teeth until she started biting my finger.  You can pick them up at CVS, Stop and Shop or anywhere that you normally buy toothpaste. Here's what we used:

I brush Frankie's teeth 2x a day and if he has something sugary (like a sip of my soda) I'll brush em again! I've been doing this since he got his 1st tooth!

I have been brushing both girls since they got their first tooth. They make both small brushes and finger brushes and baby toothpaste (safe to swallow). I would as long as your DC has a tooth to brush.

Yes---I have to admit that there are some nights that I forget. I also brush it when he is in his bath and then he gets a bottle so it is kind of silly.
