I am getting MAJOR dishpan hands here... in addition to my OCD hand washing. Chat Icon

bottles yes.... the piece that covered my breast yes.... the tubing no.

keep a bottle of lotion next to the sink....

that's your best bet!

ETA: I just started recently running her stuff in the dishwasher, and I still do it VERY infrequently....

I def do it with her sippy cups - you aren't supposed to sterilize them.... Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I figure at least the hot water and the heat from the drying will get them somewhat sterile.

I would run them through the dish washer if I was running it. I just put them in my bottle basket. Once I didn't and it fell to the bottom and melted, but other than that it was great because it saved me from at least one wash every once in a while.

Oh, heck no. I bought the Medela sterilizer bags for the pump parts.

Randi- how many pump parts do you have? I have 3 sets. This way, I only do one major wash at the end of the day.

OMG my hands are like sandpaper so gross! Glad Im not the only one. Yes I do hand wash bottles...and when I BF I hand washed some parts and whatever I could not (tubing etc ) would go into that medela bag.

it depends really... if the dishasher is ready to go then i run everything i can through there... including my pump which i do not have to clean the tubing on for the avent pump..... otherwise i hand wash and sterilize my pump with every use... when i didnt i ended up with mastitis

I hand washed everything for a LONG time. I don't remember exactly but I would say about 5 months. I always wore gloves because I'd use steaming hot water so that I didn't have to sterilize and with the gloves on I was able to tolerate the heat.
