Do we need
to bring our breast pump to the hospital if we have one and plan on using it at some point? I'm having a c-section so I will be there a little bit longer. I'm hoping to EBF without pumping for a few weeks, but I know things happen and I might need to pump from the beginning. Is it better to have my pump with me (Medela Freestyle) so my body gets used to it or is it better to use the hospital's pump?

Re: Do we need
i would bring it with you just to have the lacation consultant show you how to use it proberly and make sure it fits properly - there are different size flanges

Re: Do we need
I wouldn't bring it, because you most likely won't need to pump while you're there and if you do, the hospital grade pumps are better.

True, that's a good idea.

Re: Do we need
I hadn't thought of this because I heard the hospital breast pumps are better. Plus, if it happens that I am not able to breast feed I would eventually sell or exchange my breast pump since it's brand new.
