Do they thaw all avail embies for a FET?
Silly question. I have 6 frosties. Do they thaw all of them for a FET or just the amount you want to transfer?

Just the amount you want. If they don't survive the thaw, they will then thaw a replacement.
I did have a friend whose practice accidentally thawed all 4 frosties even though she was transferring two. They were furious they lost the other 2.

Just the ones you need. I have heard of some clinics freezing them in twos though so could that be a possibility?

GREAT!!! Thank you, ladies! Also, do you happen to know how long it takes to thaw and then determine if they survive the thaw and then go to transfer?

It depends on what kind of thawing they do. I was told they have two kinds of thaws. A slow thaw and a fast thaw.
My RE does a fast thaw which takes about 15 minutes. They called me an hour before the transfer to tell me the thaw was successful and what the grade of the embryo was.
They will mark specific embryos for thaw the day before the transfer.
