Do IVF cycles usually include taking birth control?
Dr.B didn't mention BCP to me but one of my friends said she thought BCP was usually involved. I tried googling but I was confused by the results.
Feeling really overwhelmed!

yes it does for many protocols.
its used to suppress your natural cycle so the doctors can get easily get total control of your ovulation.
usually its the first protocol used unless theres a specific reason NOT to suppress.

My 1st fresh cycle we did use BC(chem pregnancy) and the 2nd cycle we switched to Lupron (my DD was the result) I believe it is used to supress your ovaries
