Do I wake her or pump?
Tonight we had dinner at my parents' house and on the way back, Sabrina fell asleep in the car. She was bathed and in her pjs so all I thought I would do at home would be nurse her and put her to bed. Welll.... she fell asleep in the car and then we brought her in and expected she would wake up and she hasn't.
Now at 9 1/2 months, you would think I would know what to do, but as a first time mom, I am wondering if I should pump and let her sleep (knowing that she will probably wake up hungry at some point during the night) or do I wake her to eat?
Grrr...I told DH he didn't need to be so quiet with her, I would have actually preferred her to wake up when we brought her in...

Re: Do I wake her or pump?
I guess I am worried because I don't want her to wake up at 2AM wanting to eat and all I will want will be to sleep.
I am ashamed to say I am not tiptoing around the house now

Re: Do I wake her or pump?
I know that they say to never wake a sleeping baby, but if it were me, I would rather wake her now than have her wake me in the middle of the night. How would she react to that though? Will you have a hard time getting her to go back to sleep? My DS has no problem with it and sometimes nurses while he is still practically asleep and then goes right back down. That's probably unusual though.

Not sure what you decided to do, but with my daughter if I woke her she'd be much more likely to wake again since her sleep was interupted. Hope it worked out well for you!

Re: Do I wake her or pump?
I had a similar dilemma last weekend. I decided to let her sleep and 'risked' having her wake up in the middle of the night. Lo and behold, she slept straight through to the next morning.
If you didn't try letting her sleep this time, I suggest trying it next time - she may surprise you!
