 Another fence post...
We just got an estimate from Rose for about 6K for roughly 190 feet + 2 gates. This is for the solid 6' privacy fence... no frills. Does this sound reasonable? Was anyone able to negotiate with them?

 Re: Another fence post...
I wasn't able to negotiate with them. To be honest, they get so much business that they didn't need my business. I would call up South Side fence (that's who we used and we own a large piece of property) and they were by far the least expensive and not only that but they were able to do the job ASAP.
There's a fence post on this board. Did you try any of the other places listed on those threads?

Thats about what we paid for about the same amount of feet. We did privacy all around but our gates were a different pattern

 Re: Another fence post...
That sounds like a lot to me, but I dont know... DH put our fence up himself, it was about 250 feet plus 2 gates - 6 ft privacy fence, and materials ran us about $1,000
So $5k for labor seema high. I would call around.

 Re: Another fence post...
By "privacy", do you mean PVC. That sounds about right - maybe slightly high, but not by much.

 Re: Another fence post...
Thanks all. We did get a 2nd quote today and it was 6,500. We plan on getting one more quote and then we'll decide what to do.
Yes, we're getting PVC. By "privacy", I meant that the fence is solid throughout.

I don't think that's a lot of PVC fence since the materials are so much more $$$$$.

If its PVC thats a different story, that will cost more than a regular wood fence.

Try Ammendola. I found them to be reasonable. We priced around with alot of other places too before we went with them.
