Do I need additional postage stamps?
I just received my son's 1st birthday invitations. They are 5x7 photo paper invites in 5x7 envelopes. I stamped them all with cute 42cent disney stamps.
My husband thinks they require more postage due to size. Does anyone here know for sure???

Your best bet is to bring 1 of them to the post office to have them confirm the postage for you.
In fact, when you do mail the invites, I'd mail them IN the post office ... NOT in a box on a street corner. Much safer that way 
You *shouldn't* need to pay extra postage as long as:
* weight is under 1 oz.
* envelope is not higher than 6-1/8 inches
* envelope is not longer than 11-1/2 inches
