Do I go for a mommy chop?
I’m torn lol. OK, I have brown hair that’s naturally (very) curly/coiled. It’s usually kept tied and, on occasion, people have mistaken my curls for dreads. From afar, I guess. Anyway, I met my hubby about 3 years ago when my hair was maybe a bit below my shoulder blades. I haven’t really cut it since only because I figured out the boy likes it. So I’ve kept it.
I’ve really only trimmed my “bangs” which always bunch up together. (They sweep to the right as they bunch up for whatever reason.) I’ve kept them at near my cheek bones while the back has gotten progressively longer.
Here’s the dilemma: my hair has turned into a timeline of our entire time together. Cutting it doesn’t feel right. BUT at the same time it’s now the longest it’s ever been. I think at some point I’m going to have to cut and maybe this is the best time – new chapter and all. At some point I have to start anew, right?
I’m also concerned with the pregnancy effects on it. And the women that marry into his family seem to have sh*tty pregnancies so the length may turn into a nuisance. Then again, he’s always had a thing for my hair (although he’ll never admit it) and I don’t want to cut it off on some pretty blue day. Should I just woman up and keep chugging along with it for the boy’s sake?
Decisions, decisions…
Any thoughts?
