I am truely bleessed with an amazing daughter but thinking of expanding family possibly late spring early summer. Do I go straight to doctor or should i try on my own? suggestions ,opinions, ect. if you can track your cycle and ovulate on your own you can def try on your own if you want. esp if you have no history of miscarriage. obviously if you do not ovulate regularly though you should probably go straight to the RE. IMO give yourself a set amount of time that you are willing to try on your own and then if it doesn't work out, plan to see the RE. that way you have a plan and won't get bogged down if trying on your own doesn't work. that's what I plan to do when I'm ready for #2. good luck!

Re: do i go back?
I have PCOS and don't ovulate without assistance. When we decided we wanted to go for #2, we went straight to the RE. "Trying" on our own would have been a huge waste of time bc I had no cycles to track. Good Luck!!

Re: do i go back?
I think this is a personal decision based on your priorities. Is it more important to you to give things a chance the natural way and hope for the best, knowing it could take longer? Or, is it more important to you to go the path that may get you results faster? That's just something I would consider. If you're not in any kind of hurry, it may make sense to try naturally for a while, but that's for you and your dh to decide. Good luck!!

Re: do i go back?
i think it depends on how quickly you want to get pregnant.. i know this is something i've thought about too. My DS is only 4 months, but I know when I am ready to try again, that I'm going to track to see if I ovulate (which is what my issue was before) and then decide from there.
