Do babies grow into using their swing?

DD is 2 months and has hated her swing and bouncy seat since day one. Lately she's been much more alert and able to self soothe and I put her in the swing and she has been in it for 10 minutes - and just fell asleep

Is this is a one off thing - or maybe she just wasnt ready for it yet?

I'd LOVE for there to be something other than the bjorn to soothe her!

I find DS is a little more interested in his "accessories" each week.

He wouldn't sit in the swing for longer than 5 minutes when we first brought him home, but now he seems to enjoy it more.

Same with Bella...she seems to soothe herself more when she's in the swing these days. Before we'd put her in and she'd wake herself up within 20 minutes.

Aside from napping in the swing once in a while, Steven was never really a big fan. It was a huge waste of money for us.

I would say it is definately possible that she is beginning to like it, but if she didn't really like it from the beginning, my guess would be that she is never really going to love it.

I think Lily liked her swing pretty much from the beginning, but she didn't like her bouncy seat for at least a month or so. Once she could see the toys in front of her, she liked it alot. (we have the rainforest one.) She has basically outgrown the swing now at 7+ months and I have no idea how I'm going to get her to nap now.

DS (6 weeks) has been more interested in his swing the past couple of weeks. He actually will fall asleep in it. I think for some babies they have to grow into liking it.
