Dita: Behind The Makeup
International glamour queen, Miz Dita Von Teese graces the pages of the new Harper's Bazaaar.
And, PerezHilton.com has an exlusive first look at her candid interview!
On her marriage to Marilyn Manson lasting forever:
"I would not get married if I didn't believe in it. I've always believed in tradition. I think both of us did, at the time."
On what went wrong in the marriage:
"Let's just say that it must have been something pretty bad for me to move out of the house after six years together to pack up my stuff on Christmas Eve. I loved him, and this was the most painful thing I have ever had to go through. It's been really difficult. It's not what I expected when I got married, and I felt like I'd found the man of my dreams. "
On questions about having an open relationship:
"No, it wasn't that way at all! I've even had people come to me since, saying, 'Well, didn't you have an open relationship?' No! Never! We were completely monogamous. I think people thought we were real free and open, but we really believed in commitment and tradition and our vows. But sometimes people change their ideas, I suppose. ..."
On Dita and Marilyn reinventing their looks:
"I think we always had a lot in common that way, that we both created characters for ourselves and we're both from Middle America."
On whether she is ready to date yet:
"But I'm not. I will be. By the time this article comes out, I'm going to be ready! I still look at it like I'm married, technically. It is kind of silly, I know. But I'm not officially divorced yet, so I have a conscience about things. And I feel like I'll come out better in the end if I take my time and get through it and feel all the pain, do all that emotional cleansing."
She ends the interview saying:
"I'm excited, in a way, about the adventure of life and what's next. Because I firmly believe that when one door closes, another one opens somewhere, and every cloud has a silver lining. But it's easy to tell yourself that sometimes and harder to make your heart really feel it."

Well she certainly sounds like a very down to earth person from that interview...Very cool if that's the case.
She looks gorgeous in that picture, too bad it's not in color. I'd be curious to see just how pale she really is without make up.
