Disney restaurant question

What is the best place to eat in magic kingdom? I've already booked a few formal sit downs, is there somewhere more casual/quick to grab dinner ?

Also, there are a few places that I wasn't able to get a reservation at, do things open up last minute? Should I keep checking as I get closer ( we leave July 10th)

Thanks!

Re: Disney restaurant question

Forgot the name of the place, but there's a restaurant in Tomorrow Land you can eat at. Food was fine. The guys would wait on line while I was with my friend and our kids at a table we help. Regular stuff like hot dogs, chicken drum stick, salads, etc. No reservations needed and line moves.

Definitely keep going online as it gets closer to get reservations. I was trying for a while to get reservations at Tusker House in AK. I was able to get lunch reservations for 1:30 the night before.

Re: Disney restaurant question

If you're looking for something that's sit down with waiter/waitress service, but on the casual side, make a reservation at The Plaza Restaurant. It's right off Main Street and the food was really good.

If youre staying on site definitely get a fastpass for lunch at Be Our Guest! You get to eat in Beasts castle. Beast isnt there at lunch but its still a great experience.

BOG

We also liked Pecos Bills. Ive never eaten there but hear good things about Cosmic Rays.

Disney restaurant question

We went during a slow week, but all the table service places were booked in advance. We ended up getting some reservations the week before, day before, and one the day of for dinner. Just keep checking for cancellations.

In MK, we had lunch at Crystal Palace. The food was not great, but we were there for the characters. Also ate at quick service places in tomorrowland and fronteirland. They were ok, not great.
Our favorite meal was dinner in Epcot at Akershus. The salad bar items were similar to Crystal Palace, but tasted so much better.

Cosmic Rays. We ate there often.

Yes - definitely keep trying, many people change their minds closer to their travel date.

Also check restaurants when you get there. When we went I was unable to book breakfast with cinderella in advance. But we went to the castle the day we arrived and were able to get a reservation for the next day at a perfect time. Does not hurt to ask.
