disney question
we are renting a house in florida april 20th-27th & are planning to do one day in disney. ages of children range from 1-5 (there are 4 kids total going)
we are thinking the best park to go to (if choosing 1) would be magic kingdom. should we do the fast pass? not sure how much there is to do for the toddlers, so unsure if we should go ahead and get it?
any advice would be great!

IMO, one day at Magic Kingdom will not be enough time even with a fast pass. The park is huge! I went for one day with my 2 yr old and we only got through half of the park.

I would FP the ones you really want to do. MK is a huge park so you might not get to do/see everything one day but you can at least FP the ones you really want to do. Have fun!

Also keep in mind I think you can only FP every 2 hours.

i know if you stay at a disney hotel, you can fast pass 3 rides a day. so you go online 60 days before to "book" the fast passes for the 3 rides you want. basically then it gives you a one hour window that you can go "check in" at the ride and skip the standby line.
i'm not sure how it works when you stay off Disney. i know it doesn't cost any extra to do the fast pass when you stay on disney- do you have to pay extra to be able to do it when you stay off disney?
either way, i would say its definitely worth doing it with young kids and one day at the park  you won't get to see everything in one day... but the kids won't know what they're missing HAHA they'll be happy with whatever they DO get to see- and you can always go back

hmm..did they just change that? I could've sworn I did FPs back to back (within the 1 hour window) but could only do 3 a day. Maybe I'm mistaken.

ok just found this online for staying off site:
Off-site guests can make FastPass+ reservations (3 per day in 1 park) using the My Disney Experience app or website up to 30 days in advance. Off-site guests can also make use of the kiosks in the park.

FP is free so no reason to not do it. MK takes more than a day so it should be perfect. Most of the rides have no height requirement so even the 1year old can do 80% of the park.
The 7 dwarfs mine car ride is 38 or 40 inches, splash mountain, big thunder both are 40 inches, barns stormer is something like 36 or 38 inches. Space mountain is 44. You must be 32 inches to ride the speedway cars. Anything else in the park is fair game. That leaves a large percentage of the rides. You will want FP for at least Peter Pan, tomorrow land speedway, enchanted tales with belle, jungle cruise, Anna and Elsa M&G, buzz light year to just name a few IF you are skipping height required rides. You might also want a good spot for the parade if you stay that late.

wow thanks everyone for the responses!!! i know one day isnt going to cover an entire park, but we arent ready to do disney full on yet, so we figured if we could give the kids just a taste of it, they would love it!!

yup!!! AND like a few people said... Fast Pass doesn't cost anything extra. so you might as well do it for however many rides they let you do it for
