Disney question - Can we do this?
DH doesn't go on rides. I want to go on a lot. Some alone, some with DD. Can I take DH's fast passes by switching magic bands with him? Are we allowed to trade magic bands? Can we book 3 fast passes for me and 3 fast passes for him (but really for me). It would really help us get to everything we want to see without wasting!

Maybe. If the cast member reads the name assigned to the magic band when you tap it, you will not be let through to get on the ride.

We just went in February and did it. My niece is 5 and hates rides. The rest of us took turns using her fast passes No one ever noticed, or if they did, they didn't care.

Re: Disney question - Can we do this?
Yes, you can no problem. The only restriction is that you cannot use someone's ticket to enter the park. But once inside you can use his FP if he wishes not to ride. Just remember your DC if 3 or older needs a FP to ride. So if you take his your DC will need one to ride with you.
We did this several times on our trip. I saw some people wearing 2 bands each (theirs and their kids.

It should not be an issue as long as they are not entering the park on his ticket. We actually asked on our last trip and were told as long as we had the correct number of FPs for our party they didn't care if someone didn't want to ride and allowed someone to use their FP.
