Disney Q - Which would you do twice with a 5 and 2yr old... HS or AK?
Going for two weeks, have a 9 day pass, going to do MK 4 days, Epcot 3 days, AK and HS 1 day and will have 1 day left over. Should we do AK or HS a second time? Which would a 5.5 year old girl and an almost 3yr old boy like better?
We're going in April, if that helps.

For my boys it would be HS, solely for the fact of Toy Story Mania

i have a 5 year old son... who is ALL about Star Wars lately--- so for us it would be HS bc thats where they have the star wars stuff- Star Tours ride, Jedi Training, the Launch bay with character meets, the Star Wars fireworks show at night.... and Toy Story Mania is great!! BUT AK is great, too- the dinosaur stuff, the safari... i guess it depends on what your kids are into. Or maybe look into doing one of the water parks?? my son LOVED the kids are at Typhoon Lagoon last summer...

Unless they are totally into Star Wars and Disney Jr. I would say AK. So many attractions have closed at HS.
It also depends on how they feel about animals.
I would be flexible, though. 9 days is a long time and after 8 days in the parks you'll probably have revised your opinion on how you'd spend that last day.

I was just reading that a lot was closed for construction at HS and Animal Kingdom is getting a good new show, not sure of when it starts up. I would just see how you like each before deciding.

My sons enjoyed HS more than AK, and more than Epcot...

Wow. That is a lot of time at the parks. Any chance you can detour to Universal, the water parks, Seaworld or Legoland? We have never gone for more than 4 days. There were 2 trips we burned the 4th day because we wanted to hang out at the pool and downtown disney instead.
My kids would choose AK. Or you may want to do a morning HS and on another day, go in the afternoon and have dinner there and watch Fantasmic and the new Star Wars fireworks.

We thought about venturing outside but Disney pretty much has you by the balls once you start buying a 5+ day pass...adding extra days costs just a few bucks while going to Universal/Sea World/Etc. costs $$. We don't plan on doing full days each day, we want to take it really slow, do the mornings at the parks and chill at the pool in the afternoon because we fear burnout. I know I would annoy the hell out of my family if we were only going for a few days with a do-or-die plan to get everything done so we're taking it vveerryy slowly... and we also don't mind ditching some of the extra days on our pass if we get sick of things, they barely cost anything.
Holy long explanation

I would do AK.
That being said, I think 3 days at Epcot is too many with the ages of your kids. I would do 2 at Epcot, 2 at HS and 2 at AK. That way you can just spend half days every day and then enjoy some pool relaxation time. Or a good strategy for your 2nd Epcot day would be to sleep in and hit the World Showcase in the late afternoon/evening.
