Disney in October
We are considering taking our (then 2.5 year old) son to Disney in October, likely the week AFTER the Jewish holidays. I have heard this is a great time for great weather and lesser crowds.
I would love recommendations for on-site locations? We havent run numbers and have very little knowledge on what something like this would cost but what can we expect (ballpark) for 5 days?
Any information would be GREAT and very much appreciated!!!

Re: Disney in October
I want to say it was around $2025 (without airfair) We went the day before Halloween and left on the 4th. Separately we purchased 3 Mickey Mouse not so Scary Halloween Party tickets.
I got:
King Size Room – Port Orleans French Quarter 5 nights 6 days 5 day hopper Dining Deluxe (free upgrade) With the Fun/Sun tickets to the waterparks and Downtown Disney Arcade thingie
AJ was 3 so she’s free to the parks and free at Buffets. Considering the Dining Deluxe included 3 sit down meals for each of us plus 2 snacks and 2 refillable mugs it was MORE than enough. She ate free at the different Character dining things we booked (early), we also used our ‘credits’ for her meals at Epcot and Magic Kingdom. We STILL had enough ‘credits’ for us and extra meals. Snacks were great for her to get her mickey ice cream, etc. We had so many snack credits (11) we ended up buying candy for gifts on the way home.
Since we booked through Disney we put money down then paid on it until we paid it off.
ETA: correcting price I found my post.

Re: Disney in October
October is a great time to go! We went in late October last year and had great weather and it wasn't too crowded.
We took our sons (ages 3 and 18 months at the time) to the parks for 4 days (2 days Magic Kingdom, 1 day Animal Kingdom, 1 day Hollywood Studios). We didn't do the park hopper, but we got the Deluxe Dining Plan and did 3 character breakfasts.
We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, it was great. They have a boat launch that goes directly to the Magic Kingdom, and also to the Contemporary where we caught the monorail. There is a great restaurant there called the Whispering Canyon that is a lot of fun for kids.
Our trip total for the tickets, meal plan and hotel for 5 nights was around $2000. We were lucky in that we were able to drive down instead of fly (we live in VA about 12 hours from Disney).
I used Mousesaver.com and allears.net to find out about discounts, crowds and park information. I made our dining reservations online about 5 months ahead of time so we could get the meals/times we wanted.

Re: Disney in October
We stayed at the allstar music in february... it was a little ancient but nice because of the fridge and kitchen area and having 2 rooms was great with B... plus cant beat the price!
eta- I just looked it up and if you can go before September 29th you can get free dining- AAA is running it now.
