Disney Hollywood Studios question
My almost 3 year old is obsessed with anything Cars related. (I know Disneyland has the whole Carsland but too late for that - we're going to Disneyworld next month.)
We need to choose between either AK or HS. I realize there's a whole post about that, and I read it, and I'm 99% sure AK because DS is so young, but I wanted to ask if there are any Cars attractions in HS? Even just character greeting? I don't see any on wdwinfo but another poster's mention of a Lightening McQueen photo op prompted this.
We are actually splitting up that day - I'm taking DS to AK and DH and 11 yo SD are going to HS - so I wanted to triple check that it was the right call. (I have no problem splitting up.)
TIA!

Re: Disney Hollywood Studios question
We just went to Disney last month.
HS had a photo op with Lightning McQueen and Mater. If your son really loves Cars, I would recommend a visit to the Arts of Animation resort. We just randomly stopped by and we were so glad because they have an entire wing that is Cars themed. My boys LOVED running from one car to the next.
We really liked HS. Our kids like Toy Story though. The Toy Story Mania ride is super fun and there is a character meet with Buzz and Woody. The Pixar Parade is also great. There aren't many rides for 3 year olds but the shows make up for it.

Re: Disney Hollywood Studios question
There is a Lightning McQueen photo op and Lightning also makes an appearance in the Lights, Motors, Action show, but I'd youtube it. It's VERY loud and might be too much for him

Disney Hollywood Studios question
DS is 3 and he loved seeing Mater and Lightening McQueen at Hollywood Studios - his whole face lit up.
We got a ton of great pics since we had Photopass Plus and there was no line - the photographer knew DS by name.
He loved the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground and the Disney Jr show there too. We also did a character breakfast there with Jake, June from Little Einsteins, Special Agent Oso, and Handy Manny.

Re: Disney Hollywood Studios question
I really didn't like HS that much. I loved AK.
There really just isn't a lot to do for a little one in HS. DS doesn't like dark, loud rides. He hated the Little Mermaid show and Muppetvision 3D (too dark), liked Toy Story Mania, liked the Beauty and the Beast show, and loved the Disney Jr show (we saw it twice). Both kids cried and jumped all over me the whole time during Fantasmic (too loud/dark). There really just wasn't much to do for them in HS. There is a Lightening and Mater mockup, it's really not that exciting to be honest.
We really loved Animal Kingdom, but DS loves zoos too, so that helped. It has such a great vibe, and we were busy the whole day.
ETA: I am pretty sure you have to be 4 to do the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground.

My DS did it - he was just under 3 at the time. He had a blast - we spent most of our time there.
We really only went to HS though because of the Disney Jr character breakfast - otherwise we would have skipped.
