Disney Hilton Head

Can someone please give me info about this? How is the entertainment for the kids? Are their characters, etc? Things to do? TIA!

Re: Disney Hilton Head

I haven't been there yet. DH and I were toying with a trip. I've been to HHI before, but that was before Disney's resort.

There are no Disney characters there per se, but there is a storyteller, B'lou Crabbe, and the resort's mascot, Shadow the golden retriever.

There are activities all day and evening for all ages. Crafts, movies, nature walks, butterfly feeding, campfires, etc. There are a lot of excursions such as dolphin watching, kayaking, etc.

LOTS for kids to do.

When I went to HHI I loved doing the boat tours and got to get up close and personal with a dolphin.

When you go to HHI make sure you go into Harbor Town to see Gregg Russell. He's a singer who does family'/child friendly concerts in the evening by the water. It's really relaxing and kids LOVE him. I absolutely adored him when I was a kid and his stuff kind of has elements that go over kids' heads but are funny to parents so everyone is entertained. That's one of my best memories of HHI when I was a kid.

Re: Disney Hilton Head

Missy, we were just there for the first time a few weeks ago.

Like Jennifer said, no characters and the DISNEY is really subtle in everything but service. As usual, over-the-top service from everyone we met.

The campfires are great fun, there's something going on nearly all day (some included, some at a nominal fee) and there are tours you can take as well.
