Disney Help//Advice Please
I finally got the go ahead on renting my DVC points from David's so now what??
Going in Dec so can't book flights yet.
Do I get my tickets for the parks now? If so, what is the best/Cheapest way to go about that?
Dining I know I can't do anything till 180 days before.
What about the magic bands, do I get those now?
Thank you, this is overwhelming to me

Nothing to do yet. Just start researching what restaurants you want and starting planning your time there so you can book at the 180 day mark. What week are you going. We are going the first week of Dec.

Re: Disney Help//Advice Please
we just went in February. I agree with pp... right now I would just start reading about the different restaurants to get an idea of what meals you want to do, etc. so that when the 180 mark comes, you'll be ready to make your reservations. the magic bands get mailed to you, so don't worry about that. they'll send you an email when its time for you to log on and pick your colors, put the names on them, etc. then they'll mail them to you after you "customize" them. at that point you can also do your FP+ reservations, too. as far as other tips.... DS is 3. honestly he didn't "get" the whole thing and got kind of overwhelmed. so go at your kid's pace. just do what you can do, and don't worry about trying to fit every single thing in. Also.... we went to the MK and in mid-afternoon it was very crowded and we were all getting flustered. so we went back to the hotel from like 3-5. DS took his nap, we relaxed, got an early dinner. Then went back to MK at night from like 7:30-10. it was a TOTALLY different experience!!! we walked on pretty much every ride. rides that had a 45 minute wait that afternoon had no waits. just SO SO Much better... so if you can do that, I recommend it!

Have you logged into My Disney Experience yet? That's where you customize your bands. The site will show your reservation and also walk you through customizing your bands. You will also receive a packet in the mail telling you all your important dates.
I just rented points for a stay a BLT in November.

June 9 is the day I can start making our dining reservations! We are also going in 2 weeks, so I'll choose some of the same restaurants, but mix up others! I'm a disney fanatic! Lol

Re: Disney Help//Advice Please
I would go ahead and start checking airlines jet blue is out through Jan 2015, delta is out etc.
I would start figuring out if there are any ADRs you want so at the 180 mark you can go...things like BOG go at the 180 day mark.
Otherwise other than watching for discounts not much you can do.
Would he enjoy doing pirates league (pirate's makeover)? If you want to do that sort or thing you will want to book at the 180 mark.
You should get your tickets early bc prices do suddenly go up and you will need them eventually to book FPs (60 days mark). Undercover tourist has good prices and you can go through mousesavers monthly newsletter to get a discount.
Bands can be customized once you enter your reservation into the My Disney Experience (website or app). They only mail them at around your 30 day mark though.

I did see we can book JetBlue now, I was up in the air about doing that or Southwest but most likely doing JB because I can't stand not being able to pick my seats.
