Disney Cruises
Has anyone been on a Disney Cruise? If so, what ship? Did you like it, love it or hate it?
We have never cruised before but are thinking about doing this next year.

Re: Disney Cruises
DH and I sailed on the Disney Dream in March. We did a 5 night Bahamian cruise.
We LOVED EVERY MINUTE of it. I can't even describe how much we loved it. ALL we can talk about is going back. Put it this way, we saw a great deal on a cruise in June and we were DISAPPOINTED that our Butler -level All inclusive trip to St.Lucia is preventing us from taking that cruise.
The service is incredible, every little detail on ship is amazing. The staterooms are really spacious (We had a family Verandah Stateroom). On the Dream and Fantasy everything is brand new, HOWEVER I have spoken with people who have taken 10+ cruises and they say they love the Magic best,so really all 4 ships have something to offer.
The food was great, they were SO accommodating to my allergies and special needs, our stateroom was attended beautifully every night. We loved seeing characters everywhere. it was just so much fun. We ate at Remy, an upscale, added-fee, adult only restaurant, and it was incredible.
We went to the adult nightclubs almost every night and we really enjoyed it.
Castaway Cay was like a little slice of heaven.
I'm getting excited just thinking about it.
ETA: Don't get discouraged by the prices. They can VARY widely by sailing. If you can sail during the school year, you can save up to $1000. Also, some sailings are more crowded than others, so you may be looking at a sailing where the less expensive rooms are all booked up. I was looking at the cruises out of NY for a family friend, and the cost for the family depending on staterooms and sail date basically had a $2500 swing for the 2 rooms.

Jennifer's right - as much as I love the newness of the Dream and Fantasy, the Disney Wonder is my favorite ship, bar none.

Re: Disney Cruises
I glad I posted because I was thinking we HAD to go on the Dream. It's nice to know the other ships are great as well.
We would have to go when school is out because my kids are getting too old to miss so much school. A day or 2 is fine, but they can't miss a full week.
Also, we have a family of 6 -- I think the Dream only has rooms that accomodate up to 5, so we would have to get 2 rooms. I noticed one of the other ships had suites that accomodated 7.
We are DVC members and will be using about 3 years worth of points to help defray the out of pocket expense.

Why is the Wonder your favorite? Do you like it better than Dream?
