Disney All Star Resort

Which one are you staying at? We have stayed at them all, prefer Pop Century out of the values. All Star Movies is NOT my favorite at all. Horrible bus service, issues with the a/c in both rooms, and service wasn't good when we went in April of 2013. We stayed at AS Sports this past February (free with Delta miles) and had a good experience. First on the bus stop, and the food court is newly renovated.

Disney All Star Resort

It is very budget friendly and basic, but it's still on disney property, they have a shuttle and it's run by Disney so it's super clean and very professional. I got a room away from the food court on purpose (to avoid smells and noise) but with kids, the walk can be long. The pools were nice, and it was very kid-friendly.

Re: Disney All Star Resort

We got back from all star movie a couple weeks ago. I.I'm going to try to be fair first... it was dirt cheap & we were almost never in the room so I'm glad we didn't spend real money on it. The room was... to say small is being kind. But again we did nothing but sleep & shower in it so served its purpose. The kids loved the pools. Times a million. Good value there. They also loved the Disney movie decor & giant cheesy statues. The employees were my biggest issue. We had a luggage express issue & I just kept getting passed to the next person Chat Icon. Our magic bands weren't programmed properly. I got a $25 room credit for the troubles that the cafeteria worker on day 2 & 3 didnt know how to apply. An employee gave us flat out wrong information about the magic express to go home & caused us to be left behind... and tried to blame us! In the end they paid for the cab. Bus service was ehhhhh. I think its the same for all all stars.

In summary.... on a budget if its between going & not I'd stay there again in a heart beat. In the end it was a place to sleep for us & that's all. If you want more than a bed stay elsewhere. If you're on a budget & need a place to sleep stay at all star. It's better than not doing Disney!
